Random Sampler

So after going through the most recent pictures of the kids, I realized I need to take more pictures of Abby.  So we'll get some good ones of her soon, but until then here's some random pics of the kids.  Enjoy!

And... he's up!

It's funny how even after two other kids, watching Evan learn how to stand and walk is still so awesome. This little guy goes over to the book case, pulls down everything that is either interesting or in the way, and hoists himself up onto his knees:

Then after opening the nearest drawer, and a bit of effort, he's up, and proud of it!

Day Laborer

This morning we busted out the clippers and saws and did some serious maintenance on our two trees in the front yard. The kids didn't help as much as they wanted to with the actual trimming, but Collin sure enjoyed the clean up. If he doen't become a track star or a super-cyclist, I think we might have a future lumberjack in the family!

I Love Costco

Costco is awesome and for so many more reasons than the 12 lbs. of baking soda they sell for only $4! I can feed my family for $6 and change, get two weeks of groceries in a single trip, and they give you free boxes. They say the boxes are to help carry the groceries, but we all know they are really meant for the hours of fun at home playing pirate ship, puppet theater and building the tallest buildings you possibly can!

Abby's five year old pictures

So Abby has been five for a couple months now and I am just getting around to taking her for her birthday pictures. I think they turned out really well. If you want to look at the rest follow the link.

The things kids say

Collin is huge into using full names lately. If anyone ever asks him what his name is he proudly reports "Collin Thomas Sheen." Evan is always "Evan Isaac" and for awhile he has called me "Mommy Elizabeth Sheen." Today he started calling Logan "Daddy Genius Sheen."

Daddy Genius, what the heck, my GPA was better than his in high school and college. Sure he did better on standardized tests, but how would Collin know that. After a good laugh between Logan and I about who was smarter, we realized that he what he meant was Eugene (which actually is Logan's middle name).

And if you must know it was Logan who figured out that is what he meant. So in this case I guess Daddy did win the genius title. Dang it!

Just for fun

So a few months/weeks ago, I came home and Amy told me she heard a song called "Womanizer" and just loved it. I found it on playlist.com and played it for her and was pretty impressed with how well she was able to keep time with it. Actually a little scared, too. That is, until I heard this version: (See the video here).

Oh All American Rejects - you're so silly.
