Let's play!
If you've read this blog before today or checked facebook you've seen by now the pictures of the playhouse. Hopefully you haven't tired of seeing our progress in putting it back together, because I have at least one more to show. We replaced the porch boards, finished putting the porch roof on, got a bunch of flowers to go around our home and the playhouse, and got mulch to beautify the yard in general. We got rid of all of the scrap and rotted wood that's been cluttering our yard over the last few weeks. We also started rebuilding Collin's Radio Flyer wagon - the thing had been left out in the sun for too long and was in bad shape. It was just a good, busy, hardworking, outside day. It's amazing how much fun you can have in a day without the TV on and the computers off!

A new dog?
I have never been fond of the idea of getting a pet. I hate pet hair on everything, and scooping, um, whatnots, and barking, and animals jumping on me.
My kids have been asking about getting a pet recently, perhaps even a dog:(
Well tonight the neighbors dog broke a part of the fence between our yard and theirs and this is the closest they would get!
I think I am safe for awhile!

5000 nails, 400 screws, 200 pieces of wood, 1 tetanus shot -- PRICELESS
About a week ago I saw an awesome deal on craigslist for a large playhouse. I look occasionally out of nostalgia remembering the days when I used to play with my sister in a huge playhouse in our backyard. It was literally too good to pass by.
The two top pictures are in progress pictures. The last one was taken right as it was getting dark and when we tried to lighten it, it turned out like an old fashion photo.
The playhouse was delivered to our side yard and we thought if we took down a part of the fence we could just slide it into place. Well after about 15 minutes of four adults pushing we moved it three inches! So instead we had to completely tear it down and rebuild it. With the help of Logan's parents (thanks so much!) and lots of man hours by Logan and I, and as the title mentions the sacrifice of my foot to a rusty nail (yes, I had to get the shot) -- we have a huge new playhouse! It is still missing the porch awning, that is tomorrows project but I thought these pictures were too cute. The kids are in heaven, it has a three sided loft and everything! If anyone wants to stop by for a play date just let me know, we love having friends over.
